What are your duties?You will work closely with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to actively accelerate housing construction in our municipality;
You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the council’s goal, as outlined in the 2024–2030 Housing and Care Vision, of 167–189 housing units per year (excluding 50% over-programming).
You are responsible for monitoring the 2026 provincial grant titled “Decision on Accelerating Housing Construction”;
You will be the driving force behind and implementer of the acceleration agenda, including the Construction Consultations with Housing Developers, the development of a housing construction monitor, its management, and the conduct of a survey of infill and expansion sites in collaboration with the urban planner;
You will advise and report on the project's progress to management and the board.
What do we ask?You have a strong command of the field of spatial planning through the initiative process and have an affinity for process-oriented and project-based work.
You will serve as the point of contact for project initiators, internal advisors, project management, and the board regarding the acceleration of housing construction, working closely with the spatial planning project leaders and the (strategic) housing policy advisors. You are someone who takes the lead, collaborates, brainstorms, and takes responsibility. You are not afraid to hold people or processes accountable.
You are results-oriented, flexible, a planner and organizer, open-minded, and clear in your communication, and you can work with others to find solutions with a “yes, but” attitude. You have a hands-on approach and encourage support for the implementation of software related to accelerating housing construction. An affinity for software and registration systems is essential in this role.
When necessary, you don’t shy away from creative solutions, you think outside the box, and you’re always on the lookout for opportunities for development within the current framework—such as network congestion.
You are a networker, presentable, a team player, have strong communication skills, and are able to advise the board. This means you have plenty of energy, are straightforward (to the point), and are open to new ideas and challenges.
You are customer-focused, can handle conflict situations, and know how to strike and maintain the right balance.
Our core values are: environmentally sensitive, responsible, service-oriented, collaborative and self-reflective.
You are a team player who will be working in the housing subteam, which consists of three permanent housing policy advisors. We are a dynamic team that values staying connected—both with each other and with other colleagues throughout the organization. Building relationships with the other project leaders and advisors will certainly play a key role in your position.
You are available for 36 hours per week, can start as soon as possible, and will typically spend at least two full workdays at the office in Doorn.
Regular meetingsPlease note that we have regular meetings: a Monday afternoon meeting with the portfolio holder, a Thursday afternoon meeting with various teams, and occasionally an evening meeting (usually on a Monday or Thursday) to present to or support the portfolio holder at the city council.
