Role description and task arrangements
The municipalities of Utrechtse Heuvelrug and Zeist are investigating development opportunities for a new core in the Driebergen-Zeist station area. As project manager for this project, you will work for the municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug on the planning process for the area development Driebergen-Zeist. You will work together with the municipality of Zeist to create an area vision for the area around the station. The planning for the area vision started in the spring of 2023 and must now be brought to completion. You will supervise an intensive participation process and provide substantive knowledge about plan development.
To complete the area vision, the municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug is looking for a project manager.

What do we expect from you?
- Daily management on content, process, schedule, budget
- Coordinate with internal and external parties/stakeholders
- Active (guidance) role in participation
- Input of interests of Utrechtse Heuvelrug municipality in planning process
- Ensure that within the municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug the right considerations are made for the planning process.
- Jointly direct external agencies involved in the planning process with neighboring municipalities
- Preparing administrative decision-making
- Preparing steering committees and consultations with official and administrative principals
- Monitor and identify political sensitivity and act accordingly
What can you do?
- Completed WO education in the field of planning
- You are an experienced planner with demonstrable experience in process and program management in complex spatial tasks.
- You have an education in the Spatial Domain and knowledge of current developments in the Spatial Domain in relation to project development
- Demonstrated experience in area development
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with RES and renewable electricity generation
- Demonstrated experience in communication and participation work in planning processes
- Preferably work experience at a municipality in the U16 region
- Connecting and positive
- Ambitious
- Able to work independently
- Network within the U16
- Sense of official, political and administrative relationships;
- Communication skills
- Analytical acumen, works and thinks integrally;
- Result-oriented
