What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for the entire process and the content of various environmental permit applications (notifications, preliminary consultation plans, and environmental permits). In addition to construction, this often involves historic buildings and the (minor) Bopa. You’ll also collaborate with a project manager for the Bopa (formerly zoning plan amendments). The project manager is responsible for the spatial planning aspect and the administrative process. You’ll handle the process, decision-making, follow-up, and, if necessary, the building permit. This will primarily involve residential construction.
You will assess requests in light of laws and regulations, including the temporary Environmental Plan and the Building Works in the Living Environment Decree.
You will seek advice from internal and external consultants and incorporate this advice comprehensively.
You will advise residents and business owners regarding the temporary Environmental Plan and permit-exempt construction, etc., both verbally and in writing (via email, phone, and letter).
