Role description and task arrangements
For several years now we have also been dealing with grid congestion within the municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Especially large-scale users of electricity are currently suffering from this. A lot of work is therefore being done to expand the electricity grid. But unfortunately, the expansion of the high-voltage grid is running into delays. These delays increase the likelihood of the measure of a waiting list for small consumer connections. This affects municipal ambitions for sustainability, housing projects and economic development.
In order to identify the current and future impact of grid congestion on the municipality, and to further prepare for it as an organization, we want to get started with an impact analysis. We are temporarily looking for a strategic consultant net congestion who can support us with the preparation of an impact analysis net congestion.

We are temporarily looking for a strategic consultant net congestion who can support us with the preparation of an impact analysis net congestion.
What will you do:
- Preparation of a short work plan.
- Conduct an internal round (through conversations/interviews) of various departments and teams to pick up relevant projects and processes and identify what (potential) issues are involved.
- Preparation of an exploration with the impact of grid congestion on the organization.
- Identify possible measures for alleviating the effects of grid congestion.
- Develop proposal for follow-up steps, role definition of the municipality and for internal assurance around this issue.
- Deliver the exploration, possible actions and follow-up steps in the form of a (short) report.
- Present results to team leaders and MT.
Results:
- Work plan (Sep)
- Conduct interviews and reconnaissance (Oct-Nov).
- Reporting and presentation (Dec)
Job Description:
- You have extensive knowledge and experience with grid congestion and are knowledgeable about its impact on the community.
- You are proactive, know how to connect and work solution-oriented. You are able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- You have at least 3 years of work experience with a municipality and are well versed in the various work processes within a municipality. You have extensive experience in strategic advice at management and administrative level within governments.
- You can communicate clearly verbally and in writing and have experience conducting (in-depth) interviews.
- You have a college or university level of thinking.
- Working experience with a grid operator is a plus.
