What is the purpose of the position?Strengthening the organization's strategic clout by advising the board and management team on strengthening our collaboration with partners at both regional, provincial and national levels, with an emphasis on the spatial domain.
What are your duties?
- Provide solicited and unsolicited advice to college and management on administrative and general strategic issues.
- Preparation of administrative input to the Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG), U10, national and provincial governments and the creation of a lobby focused on this. Good internal coordination is important in this preparation.
- Contact Officer (CFO) U10. U10 is the network organization in which 16 municipalities in the Utrecht region work together in response to major societal themes and challenges. In this role, you will provide general annotation for the college by collecting subject matter annotations for the various governance tables and monitoring integrality.
- Project leader on strategic issues at corporate level, e.g., redirection projects.
- Booster collaboration strategic policy officers, strategic advisors and account holders common arrangements.
- Reviewing the Related Parties Note.
- You will coordinate the collaboration of Heading strategists who support the management team in strengthening their strategic role.
What do we ask of you?
- Academic work and thinking level preferably a degree in public administration or political science.
- Political and managerial sensitivity, as well as organizational sensitivity.
- Demonstrable relevant work experience in (local) government (at least 3 years)
- Generalist with the ability to switch quickly between abstract and concrete levels

What competencies do you have?You work project-oriented and results-oriented. You find your way to a result even if it is not yet exactly clear in advance what this should be. You maintain a close dialogue with your client. Your working method is participative and innovative. You can easily switch between different communication styles so that you can influence and smoothly adapt to different interlocutors. Furthermore, you have an excellent feeling for working in a political-administrative environment and an external social focus. You do not lose sight of reality so that your advice is feasible.
