Role description and task arrangements

A multifaceted job in which you will provide advice from species protection to nitrogen issues and work with permit issuers, planning staff and municipal project managers. Does this sound like your challenge? Then we would like to meet you!


What will you do?

You provide ecological input into decision-making on initiatives within the physical environment. This may involve an application for an environmental permit, an amendment to the environmental plan activity or a spatial project. You assess ecological quickscans and nature tests, and advise on nitrogen deposition and the consequences for Natura 2000 areas.

You are interlocutor for initiators, municipalities and colleagues within ODMH. You contribute to the integral consideration of interests as referred to in the Environment Act, where nature, health, climate adaptation and spatial quality come together.


What do you bring?

  • A completed college or university degree in ecology, wildlife management or similar.
  • Knowledge of protected species, Natura 2000, nitrogen issues and ecological corridors.
  • Experience with ecological consultancy within environmental law (Wabo, Nature Protection Act) and preferably already some knowledge of the Environment Act, the Living Environment Activities Decree (Bal) and the Quality of the Living Environment Decree (Bkl).
  • You can articulate ecological interests clearly.
  • You are solution-oriented, communicatively strong and know how to balance interests well.
