Role description and task arrangements


Description of assignment
To support our communications work, we are looking for a hands-on communications officer who can independently take on a variety of tasks and get things moving in good cooperation with internal and external stakeholders. You are flexible, proactive and keep an overview, even when there is a lot going on at the same time.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Picking up ad-hoc communication requests: You are the first point of contact for quick communication requests within the organization ('can you just do this/that...') and know how to prioritize this well.
  • Swimwater communication:
    • Responsible for spokesperson and answering press inquiries
    • Create and update Q&A documentation for the back office so they can handle questions independently
  • Completing photography project:
    • In collaboration with an outside photographer, you will ensure that the existing photography project is completed
    • You will monitor progress and coordinate the remaining photo sessions, especially within certain themes such as within photography
  • Setting up Image Bank:
    • You organize and structure the new photos in a central image bank
    • Consult with internal stakeholders, including the Facilities Management Office (FAB), on these matters
  • Editing & process monitoring monthly reports:
    • Editing and fine-tuning communication texts
    • Monitor deadlines and the communication process around these moments
  • Continued development of monthly reports:
    • Content and visual enhancement of existing reports, due to expiration of current tool
    • Coordinate the process in collaboration with internal colleagues and participating municipalities
    • The project has been in the doldrums for a long time; you will be given the space and responsibility to get it moving again
Your profile
  • At least 3 years of experience as a communications consultant or officer
  • Strong at switching between strategic thinking and practical execution
  • You work independently, communicate clearly and take ownership
  • Experience with (internal) project coordination and content management is a plus
  • You can handle deadlines and different interests well
