Role description and task arrangements

(Hand enforcement) Lawyer environmental law (BWT)

The Omgevingsdienst Midden-Holland is looking for an(enforcement) lawyer environmental law (BWT) for its Building and Housing Supervision Department.

You will independently handle enforcement cases involving violations of building and RO regulations. You take care of communication with the violator, the municipality and any applicants for enforcement. In addition, you handle objection and appeal cases. You also provide legal advice to our clients (municipalities and province) on building and RO regulations.
  • Candidates should have a legal education at the HBO/WO level and at least 4 years of experience in the above tasks within the last 10 years.  
  • Candidates with knowledge and experience in handling Construction and RO appeals are preferred. 
  • Candidates who have worked with RX-mission are preferred. 
  • It is important that you have good interpersonal skills and can think along with our clients.
  • You have a good political antenna.
  • You are someone who is enterprising and enthusiastic, can convince and has a solution- and result-oriented attitude.

You are also able, through knowledge and experience gained, to help juniors from the team on their way in matters they encounter.
The ODMH is a dynamic government organization. We work for several municipalities and the province and therefore deal with a wide range of enforcement issues. Every day is different!

For the induction process, a program will be provided at the office, after that you will work flexibly. (Both from the office (at least 2 days per week) and from home)
