In this assignment of the areal data working group, you will work closely together in a team with your fellow data managers, the information provision staff and the asset management staff.

You are someone who, after an introductory period, can quickly start working independently, proactively thinking along and cooperating with (the improvement of) our source data and the developments in which Rijkswaterstaat currently finds itself.
Rijkswaterstaat works with the geographic information system ArcGIS and its derivatives for geoinformation, Bluecielo Meridian for document storage of object data, and Ultimo for maintenance data and area composition (decomposition).

At the moment we are mainly working on merging 3 GIS data models (BKN, Kerngis and DTB) into 1 data model that will also be linked to Ultimo at various points. For this, large amounts of area data and process data must be input and coordinated in the most efficient way possible.
Communication with colleagues and key-users is a natural process for you, and you also encourage others in this. You also strive to do your job better every day.

Your main tasks
- Creating and adjusting geometries in Kerngis and Beheerkaart Nat (BKN);
- Adjusting and filling data attributes in the various points, lines and surfaces in Kerngis and BKN;
- Automating as much as possible of the above 2 tasks. With support from a senior GIS data manager/team leader;
