Role description and task arrangements
The ICT Datacenter Engineer within the Team DCS:
• Is mainly responsible for carrying out all physical activities in the data centers;
• Installation and removal of all common data center equipment (servers, switches, storage, etc.)
• Basic server configuration (remote management (iLo/iRMC/iDRAC)
• Monitoring of server hardware as well as the data center critical environment.
• Incident/Change management
• Participation in project teams
• Assists in drawing up the necessary procedures and work instructions;
• Has contacts with and supervises employees of other teams and suppliers/customers;
Most of the work will take place within office hours, but we are also expected to be deployed in the evenings or weekends.
The work mainly takes place in Rijswijk, but sometimes it can also be in The Hague or elsewhere in the country.
SSC-ICT is working on a number of extensive LCM projects. This means, on the one hand, that the exploitation of the existing ('old') hardware must continue and, on the other hand, a large amount of extra work in relation to these LCM projects.
