Role description and task arrangements

Temporary interim supervision team manager
(36 hours per week)

Function
As team manager supervision, as a Mt member you will connect to the vision, (development) tasks and culture of the OFGV and translate these to your team. You will coach a team of supervisors (approximately twenty-five professionals). Since the OFGV is facing several developments, it is important that you can lead changes.

Duties and responsibilities
  • You represent the interest of the team and of the organization as a member of the management team
  • You will lead the team (from trainees to seniors) in an inspiring and coaching manner
  • As a representative of the team, you will liaise with the other teams and management
  • You will guide the team in the developments that come to the team
  • You take care of the development of your team, focusing on the further development of practices within the team
  • You support the employees on your team as a sparring partner in assessing and prioritizing issues from different perspectives

Who are you?
 
  • You preferably have a completed college or university education
  • You have substantive supervisory knowledge and experience, enabling you to effectively manage and support your team on complex issues
  • You have extensive leadership experience, preferably within government
  • You act decisively and effectively when needed
  • You bring energy and always pay attention to people within the team
  • You are analytical and have a keen eye for how people, teams and ways of working can be further developed
  • You have development power, decisiveness and are results-oriented with an eye for people

OFGV is responsible for licensing, monitoring and enforcing environmental laws and regulations. We work on behalf of two provinces and twelve municipalities in Flevoland & Gooi and Vecht region. We also advise our clients on environmental laws and regulations.
 

The OFGV is an organization that has been in existence for eleven years. The OFGV is facing a phase of substantial further development. This ambition of further development has been ratified by the OFGV board. To this end, a development plan has been drawn up whose implementation will take approximately three years.
