Role description and task arrangements

Interim Junior Facilities Project Advisor
32–36 hours

We are seeking aninterim junior facilities project advisor for the large-scale renovation of the Wilhelmina Children’s Hospital (WKZ). In this role, you will support the facilities project manager(s) during the fit-out and commissioning phases. You will help translate the construction and design into a well-functioning and fully equipped healthcare environment. The work takes place in a dynamic environment where construction, facilities processes, and healthcare logistics converge.

As a junior facilities project advisor, you will provide substantive and organizational support to the project manager(s). You will ensure structure, progress, and coordination within the project and assist with issues related to services, facility design, inventory, and logistics.

The focus is on the transition from construction to occupancy, during which it is essential that inventory is available on time, suppliers are properly coordinated, and the building is ready for use.

 

Duties and responsibilities

Your responsibilities are diverse and lie at the intersection of project support, analysis, and communication:

 

Project Support

  • Provide support for (sub)projects within the renovation
  • Developing and monitoring (detailed) schedules, action lists, and progress
  • Preparing and organizing meetings, workshops, and decision-making processes
  • Contribute to the preparation of project documentation and reports

Inventory & furnishings

  • Preparing and maintaining inventory lists based on construction drawings
  • Consult with users regarding design and specifications
  • Organizing and overseeing logistical preparations

Analysis & Research

  • Interpreting and reviewing architectural and interior design drawings
  • Developing solutions to issues related to design elements and work processes
  • Drafting memos, notes, and recommendations

Commissioning & (logistical) coordination

  • Coordinating and scheduling deliveries and installation by suppliers
  • Identifying and resolving (logistical) bottlenecks
  • Ensure that work activities do not interfere with one another

Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders (healthcare, facilities, construction, and suppliers)
  • Translating complex information into clear communication
  • Monitoring tasks and progress within the project team

 

Job Requirements

  • A completed associate's degree, preferably in Facility Management
  • 0–5 years of relevant work experience in a project-based or facilities management environment
  • Demonstrable interest in construction, real estate, or healthcare projects
