We are looking for a new team member who will play a key role in integrating Ultimo with the new ERP system and in the further development of digital support at UMC Utrecht.

The context

UMC Utrecht is currently working on replacing our current Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system with a new one. At the same time, the organization is adapting to developments in the healthcare sector and the need for more agile and forward-looking operations. This has a direct impact on processes, systems, and the way we collaborate within the organization

At UMC Utrecht, Ultimo is used as an application for Enterprise Asset Management. The Ultimo application needs to be integrated with a new

Purpose of the role

In this role, you will serve as the link between the business, IT, and suppliers. You will ensure that changes related to the ERP system and Ultimo are well-aligned and made practically feasible.

You will work on clarifying the impact, coordinating decisions, and translating those decisions into Ultimo’s system design. The technical implementation of the integration is the responsibility of IT and external parties; you will focus on the functional aspects, the impact on processes, and ensuring proper coordination.


Parts

  • The project manager ensures that the supporting processes in the systems (ERP and Ultimo) align with the operational processes
  • The project manager will be part of the UMCU-wide ERP program. Decisions made by the Finance Department must be reviewed by the project manager and implemented in Ultimo.
  • The project manager implements the decisions made by the procurement team regarding the authorization policy and enters them into Ultimo.
  • The project manager will join the IT department to implement the integration between Ultimo and the ERP system.
  • The project manager assesses the functional impact of the integration and organizes the necessary measures
  • The project manager ensures that coordination takes place within the UMCU organization (FB-MTKF, Lab, etc.) regarding the various topics
  • The project manager analyzes changes to the cost center and organizational unit structure, assesses the impact, and ensures that Ultimo is configured in accordance with the new cost center and organizational unit structure.
  • The project manager contributes ideas to the conversion process and organizes functional and user acceptance tests.
  • Contributes ideas to ensure that Ultimo is structured in a way that is future-proof.
