Interim Head of the Dialysis Unit (Operations)Are you a manager who would like to make a significant contribution to the day-to-day operations and ongoing development of a specialized healthcare unit? As the interim Unit Head of our Dialysis Unit, you will be tasked with working alongside your colleagues to manage day-to-day operations and foster team development.Interim Head of the Dialysis Unit (24–32 hours per week, through March 2027)The assignmentYou will support the Dialysis Unit Head in the day-to-day management, development, and continuity of a complex healthcare department. In this temporary role, you’ll work closely with the Dialysis Unit Head and take on a number of specific challenges, while having the flexibility to organize your work independently. As an experienced interim professional temporarily supporting the Dialysis Unit Head, you’ll make a significant contribution by addressing a number of organizational and personnel issues:
- Analyzing and following up on the results of the workplace satisfaction survey, including developing and implementing a concrete improvement plan.
- Providing guidance to employees on personnel issues that arise, including absenteeism, and ensuring proper follow-up.
- To free up the Unit Head's time by taking over certain tasks, so that she can focus more on day-to-day management and the further development of her new role.
- Provide operational leadership for the department when the situation calls for it. And, in the absence of the Unit Head, carry out specific duties.
This is where you will workThe Dialysis Unit is part of the Nephrology Department, along with the outpatient clinic, day treatment unit, and nursing ward. The team consists of approximately 35 colleagues, including dialysis nurses, dialysis nurse trainees, senior nurses, coordinating nurses, clinical instructors, department assistants, department secretaries, and a quality assurance officer.
This you take with you
- You have completed a management program at the higher professional education (HBO) level;
- You have experience as a manager, preferably in the healthcare sector, with knowledge of quality and change management;
- As a collaborative leader, you know how to inspire and motivate a close-knit team, with an eye for both individual development and team results;
- You are available 24 hours per week for a period of 6 months.
