Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar is looking for an All-Around Administrative Assistant (Finance & HR) who thrives on implementing and optimizing administrative processes. You will combine financial tasks with HR and hiring processes and play a key role in onboarding, offboarding, and contract management.
Who is ZHB?
Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar (ZHB) is a partnership between the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, Rijkswaterstaat, the Province of South Holland, the Municipality of The Hague, the Municipality of Rotterdam, the Metropolitan Region of The Hague-Rotterdam (MRDH), the Port of Rotterdam Authority, and ProRail. The Drechtsteden region has also recently joined the partnership.
Our primary mission is to minimize disruption, facilitate the mobility transition, and encourage the spreading out and avoidance of rush-hour traffic through a region-specific approach in South Holland. To achieve this, we work with our partners to ensure that disruption during construction work is kept to a minimum and to contribute to structural behavioral change and a sustainable mobility transition. ZHB employs approximately 100 people. This includes a core staff of about 30 employees and approximately 70 people in a flexible workforce.
What are you going to do?
You will be responsible for performing financial, administrative, and HR/hiring-related tasks within the Operations team. In addition, you will manage hiring and contract administration in AFAS, monitor contract deadlines, and assist with onboarding and offboarding.
Duties and responsibilities
Financeactivities:
Processing incoming invoices and expense reports
Creating and processing invoices
Verifying financial data
Ensuring timely payments
Identifying and resolving discrepancies
Prepare/support financial reports
HR tasks:
Processing temporary employment contracts and renewals
Review contracts, rates, and terms
Verification of hours logged by employees/contract workers
Monitor contract deadlines
Coordinate with suppliers/agencies, schedule meetings
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding
Compliance with laws and regulations (GDPR, DBA Act)
Identifying and improving processes
Job Requirements
Advanced vocational education (in finance, business administration, or human resources management)
At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
Proven experience in financial administration, bookkeeping, and HR administration
Good to know
24 hours, to be scheduled by mutual agreement.
Hybrid work: partly on-site in downtown Schiedam and partly from home.
