Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar is seeking a Logistics Coordinator who will actively contribute to making freight transport in the Midden-Holland region more sustainable. You will focus on logistics stakeholders such as carriers, shippers, and construction companies, helping them optimize their logistics processes. You will translate data and analyses into concrete measures and encourage behavioral change toward more efficient, cleaner, and smarter transportation. You will work within the Duurzaam Bereikbaar Midden-Holland regional initiative and serve as a connecting link between businesses, government agencies, and project partners.

Who is ZHB?
Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar is a collaboration of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Department of Public Works, the Province of South Holland, the municipality of The Hague, the municipality of Rotterdam, Metropolitan Region of The Hague Rotterdam (MRDH), the Port of Rotterdam Authority and ProRail.

Our main task is to improve accessibility in South Holland. To achieve this, we and our partners ensure that disruption during works is limited and we contribute to the sustainable mobility transition. We have about 100 people working at ZHB. That's a permanent base of about 30 employees and about 70 people in a flexible shell.

What will you do?
You will advise and guide logistics companies on how to make their logistics processes more sustainable and optimize them. You will conduct analyses and QuickScans, develop customized recommendations, and provide support during the implementation of measures. In addition, you will collaborate with partners within the regional program, monitor progress and outcomes, and contribute to knowledge sharing and the further development of the approach.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Identifying and approaching logistics companies in the region and advising them on sustainable and efficient logistics solutions
  • Conducting and coordinating QuickScans at companies to analyze logistics processes and identify opportunities for optimization
  • Developing action plans and tailored recommendations, and overseeing the implementation of measures
  • Coordinating the implementation of logistics projects within the regional program
  • Managing, mentoring, and providing substantive support to (junior) logistics consultants
  • Monitoring the progress, quality, and results of ongoing projects
  • Developing and implementing interventions aimed at behavioral change and making logistics more sustainable
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders (municipalities, businesses, partners)
  • Collaborating with colleagues within the program, including those in communications and employer outreach
  • Monitoring progress and outcomes using dashboards and impact assessments
  • Drafting action plans, reports, and progress updates
  • Recording contacts, analyses, and results in CRM systems
  • Identifying opportunities and challenges within the logistics approach and contributing to the program’s further development
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices within the team and with partners

Job Requirements
  • HBO or university work and thinking level
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in mobility, logistics, or behavioral influence.
  • Experience with QuickScans, consulting to logistics parties and project-based collaboration.
  • Knowledge of sustainable logistics, urban distribution and relevant regulations.
  • Experience in an administrative or social context is a plus.

Good to know
  • 32 hours, negotiable schedule.
  • Hybrid work involves working partly on-site and partly from home.
  • Hired for minimum period of one year; 2x extension possible.
