Do you want to help employers truly realize their mobility goals? Do you get energized by clear data, concrete agreements, and relationships that are focused on progress? As a Data and Compliance Manager at Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar, you’ll ensure that plans for sustainable mobility don’t just remain on paper. You’ll monitor progress, engage with employers when necessary, and help them take the next step.

Who is Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar?

Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar (ZHB) is a partnership of public sector organizations working to create an accessible, livable, and sustainable region. We minimize disruptions during construction projects and help travelers and employers make smart, sustainable mobility choices. We do this collaboratively, with a focus on specific areas, and by placing a strong emphasis on data and innovation. At ZHB, professionals from various disciplines work together in an informal, network-based organization characterized by short lines of communication, a strong sense of ownership, and room for initiative.

Your role

Within the Sustainable Mobility Employers’ Network, medium-sized and large employers in the Rotterdam region are working together to reduce CO₂ emissions, decrease car use, and promote more sustainable travel habits. You are the connecting link between employers, mobility expertise, and data. You monitor agreements and results, but look beyond the numbers alone. You identify where organizations are running into obstacles, initiate the right support, and at the same time keep them on track toward their shared goals.

What will you do?

  • You will build and maintain active relationships with member employers.
  • You will monitor commitments and goals related to sustainable mobility and CO₂ reduction.
  • You proactively follow up with employers when actions, data, or results fall short.
  • You will monitor the availability and quality of baseline measurements, follow-up measurements, and other mobility data.
  • You assist employers with questions regarding the reporting requirement for Work-Related Personnel Mobility (WPM).
  • You analyze results, identify bottlenecks, and discuss with employers what is needed to move forward.
  • You bring in mobility consultants and other specialists when additional expertise is needed.
  • You record appointments, tasks, and progress carefully and in a clear, organized manner.
  • You will report periodically on results, trends, and necessary follow-up actions.

What makes this role interesting?

You’ll combine relationship management, mobility expertise, and data in a role that makes a tangible impact on society. One moment you’ll be poring over numbers to identify where progress is stalling; the next, you’ll be sitting down with an employer to drive change. You’ll have the freedom to work independently while being part of a dedicated network of colleagues and specialists who are working together to make South Holland more sustainably accessible.

What do you bring?

  • A level of work and thinking equivalent to that of a higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) program.
  • Extensive experience with sustainable mobility, employer mobility, or mobility management.
  • Thorough knowledge of the reporting requirements for Work-Related Personal Mobility (WPM).
  • Experience in relationship management and working with medium-sized and large employers.
  • The ability to analyze data and translate it into a clear, engaging conversation.
  • A proactive, independent, and results-oriented approach to work.
  • The firmness to hold organizations accountable for their commitments, while keeping the relationship in mind.
  • The ability to identify mobility issues and link them to appropriate support.
  • Knowledge of the employer landscape in the Rotterdam region and a relevant network are a definite plus.

What do we offer?

  • A varied role with a direct social impact on sustainable mobility.
  • A great deal of independence and the freedom to apply your knowledge and take initiative.
  • Work in a professional, engaged, and informal network organization with short lines of communication.
  • Collaboration with enthusiastic colleagues, mobility advisors, and employers in the region.
  • An average of 8 to 16 hours per week.
  • Hybrid work: from home, at our office near Schiedam Centrum Station, and at employers’ locations throughout the region.

Do you see opportunities in data, know how to get employers on board, and want to help make South Holland more accessible in a sustainable way? Then we’d love to meet you. Please send us your resume and a brief cover letter explaining what you can bring to this role.
