Role description and task arrangements

Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar (ZHB) is looking for a Junior Mobility Advisor Employer Approach region Haaglanden. Our organization is still fairly new and there is plenty to build. Working for ZHB is a great opportunity to use your expertise. We have 8 parent organizations consisting of central and decentralized governments that are part of a unique partnership. Who is ZHB? 

Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar is a collaboration of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Department of Public Works, the Province of South Holland, the municipality of The Hague, the municipality of Rotterdam, Metropolitan Region of The Hague Rotterdam (MRDH), the Port of Rotterdam Authority and ProRail. 

Our main task is to improve accessibility and livability in South Holland. To achieve this, we and our partners ensure that disruption during works is limited and we contribute to the sustainable mobility transition.  

What do we expect from Junior Mobility Advisor Employer Approach Haaglanden region? 

The Haaglanden region faces major social challenges in the coming years. The pressure on accessibility is increasing due to a combination of large-scale infrastructure projects and strong housing ambitions. At the same time, the climate challenge calls for accelerated efforts to make mobility more sustainable. Within this framework, the region has signed a Climate Deal with employers aimed at stimulating sustainable travel behavior. 

To manage these developments, Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar is looking for a Junior Mobility Advisor Employer Approach. In this position you will actively contribute to the transition to sustainable mobility by supporting and activating employers. You will focus on stimulating behavioral change among employees, with the aim of reducing car use and promoting alternative forms of transport such as public transport, cycling and working from home.

Duties and responsibilities 

  • Identify and approach employers and inform them about change potential and possible mobility solutions. 

  • Conducting quantitative mobility analyses using an interactive SaaS solution. Also at the regional level. 

  • Supporting employers with employee surveys asking about travel motives and travel modes. 

  • Conducting qualitative mobility analyses using the Mobility Index. 

  • Develop concrete action perspectives for employers and translate them into actions aimed at sustainable employee behavior change. 

  • Develop interventions that engage and activate employers and employees. 

  • Work with the project team to provide impact measurements and monitor progress through a project dashboard. 

  • Devise creative solutions that address the mobility needs of employers and their employees, such as working from home, staggering work hours, biking and using public transportation. 

  • Have conversations with companies about their employees' travel behavior and implement customized solutions. 

  • Track calls and results in CRM system. 

 

Competencies and skills 

  • Start experience in influencing employer and employee behavior. 

  • Knowledge and experience in conducting quantitative mobility analysis using an interactive SaaS solution. Also at the regional level. 

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to make connections with various stakeholders. 

  • Knowledge of mobility issues, market dynamics and regulations. 

  • A proactive, results-oriented and analytical attitude.
