Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar (ZHB) is looking for a Finance Officer who gets energy from a well-organized financial administration.
In this position, you will ensure correct processing of all financial data and contribute to overview and insight into our organization's finances.


You will work in a small and committed team within business operations and support the organization with your eye for detail, analytical skills, and sense of cooperation.

Who is ZHB?
Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar is a collaboration of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Department of Public Works, the Province of South Holland, the municipality of The Hague, the municipality of Rotterdam, Metropolitan Region of The Hague Rotterdam (MRDH), the Port of Rotterdam Authority and ProRail.

Our main task is to improve accessibility in South Holland. To achieve this, we and our partners ensure that disruption during works is limited and we contribute to the sustainable mobility transition. We have about 100 people working at ZHB. That's a permanent base of about 30 employees and about 70 people in a flexible shell.

What will you do?
You are responsible for carrying out various financial-administrative tasks within the Operations team. You work closely with colleagues and project leaders and provide data for the (project) administration and reports.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Preparation of (project) sales invoices.
  • Process incoming financial documents (invoices, claims, quotes) in ZHB's accounting system.
  • Assessing the data to be processed for legitimacy, completeness, authorization, and ensuring timely processing and payment.
  • Identifying irregularities, resolving them, and obtaining additional information if necessary.
  • Managing financial files and ensuring that information files are up to date and accurate.
  • Assisting with project administration and budget monitoring, providing data where necessary.
  • Submitting data for project administration, monitoring (project) budgets, and identifying (impending) overspending.
  • Provide data for and input to budget overviews and reports.
  • Checking and administering the assignment instructions

Job Requirements
  • Vocational or higher vocational education level with a degree in finance.
  • Several years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience with AFAS and good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Meticulous, accurate and independent.
  • Collaborative and communicative skills.
  • Pragmatic, structured and analytical minded.
  • You can switch well between different activities and priorities.

Good to know
  • 32 hours, negotiable schedule.
  • Hybrid working, partly on location (Schiedam center metro/train station) and partly from home.
