Mobility Advisor Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar
In Zuid-Holland we will be facing considerable challenges in the coming years. With several large infrastructure projects on the agenda, such as the maintenance and construction of roads, railroads and housing, the region's accessibility will come under pressure. To meet these challenges, we at Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar are looking for a Mobility Advisor Employer Approach to play a crucial role in promoting more sustainable travel behavior, specifically targeting employees and employers around the A44. Are you the person who can encourage companies to make their employees travel differently and less dependent on the car during the planned work on the A44?


South Holland is busy. Over 3.5 million people want to get on the road smoothly and safely every day. Workers go to work. Truck and delivery traffic drives back and forth with goods and packages. And public attractions and events also bring in a lot of people. How do we keep our region accessible? Because the economy is growing, which attracts even more people and businesses. Some 200 thousand homes are also being built in our region and many roads, bridges and tunnels need to be replaced or renovated. This work will lead to additional congestion on the roads, on the water and on public transportation. If we do nothing, we will be at a standstill even more often in South Holland. That is why eight public organizations are joining forces in the cooperation Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar. In our joint implementation program we guide traffic in the right direction and coordinate our activities per area. At the same time we are helping travelers and businesses choose smart and sustainable ways to travel and transport. Together - governments, (transport) companies, employers, visitors and residents - we will keep Zuid-Holland on the move.
In Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management, the province of Zuid-Holland, the Rotterdam Metropolitan Region, the municipality of The Hague, the municipality of Rotterdam, ProRail and the Port of Rotterdam Authority are working together to make Zuid-Holland accessible.

Area-based approach Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar

Within Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar, we are focusing on five specific areas, including Holland-Rijnland. Starting in 2025, large-scale renovations will take place here on four engineering structures on the A44, which will last until 2030. These works will have a major impact on traffic flow, especially for commuter traffic. The capacity of the road will be sharply reduced, confronting businesses and their employees with longer travel times and more traffic congestion. This is why we are deploying an employer approach aimed at sustainable behavioral change, both during the work and for the long term. This involves supporting companies in developing alternatives such as working from home, using bicycles, public transport and staggering working hours to reduce pressure on the A44.
An important part of this approach is to encourage employers and employees to rely less on the car and make more sustainable choices in their daily travel habits.

What will you do?
As a mobility consultant, you will be responsible for developing and implementing measures that encourage employers and their employees to travel more sustainably and efficiently during the renovation work on the A44. You will work closely with various experts within the team, such as the project leader, a logistics consultant, a communications consultant and stakeholder management.


Job description
  • You will identify and approach employers in the region around the A44 and inform them about the work and possible mobility solutions.
  • You will develop concrete action perspectives for employers and translate them into actions aimed at sustainable employee behavior change.
  • You will develop interventions that engage and activate employers and employees.
  • You will work with the project team to provide impact metrics and monitor progress through a project dashboard.
  • You will devise creative solutions that address the mobility needs of employers and their employees, such as working from home, spreading working hours, biking and using public transportation.
  • You will conduct discussions with companies about their employees' travel behavior and implement customized solutions.
Skills and qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience in advising governments and companies to get started with mobility measures for their visitors and customers.
 
  • Knowledge and experience of working in an (urban) environment with many internal and external stakeholders.
 
  • Familiarity with developments in the field, the market (supply and demand), and applicable regulations
 
  • Able to connect and create collaborations
 
  • Excellent communication skills, be proactive, content strong, analytical, result and action oriented
  • Knowledge of mobility issues, market dynamics and regulations.
  • A proactive, results-oriented and analytical attitude.
  • Familiarity with the region around the A44 is a plus.
 

Job Requirements
  • HBO or university work and thinking level
  • Minimum of five years of work experience designing services for target audiences whose behavior needs to be influenced.
  • Conducted at least one reference project aimed at influencing employee and employer behavior.
  • Knowledge of the Holland-Rhineland area
