Asset Registration Project Manager

Would you like to play a key role in improving the quality of asset registration at Alliander?

Can you reconcile different interests, keep track of multiple improvement initiatives, and motivate people to take action without taking over the work yourself? If so, this role is for you.

As the Asset Registration Project Manager, you will ensure that improvements are actually implemented throughout the entire chain. You will bridge the gap between operations and change, monitor the progress of initiatives, and ensure that the right stakeholders work together toward a single common goal: reliable, timely, and high-quality asset registration.

Your energy

Asset registration is a key foundation for a safe, reliable, and future-proof energy supply. Currently, the quality and timeliness of asset registration are under pressure. The causes are spread across the entire chain: processes are not optimally aligned, responsibilities are fragmented, and various improvement initiatives are being carried out in parallel.

As the Asset Registration Project Manager, you bring everything together. You serve as the initiative owner’s right-hand person and ensure that both operational improvements and larger change initiatives are aligned. You monitor progress, identify risks, escalate issues when necessary, and bring the right people together to resolve bottlenecks. In this role, you serve as the connecting link between the business, production lines, and change teams.

You'll make a real difference as an Asset Registration Project Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing an organization-wide improvement initiative. You will maintain an overview of all ongoing actions and ensure that improvements are actually implemented.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • managing the progress of the overall initiative across the entire supply chain;
  • identifying risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks and escalating them in a timely manner;
  • linking Run and Change and determining which issues can be resolved at the operational level and which need to be addressed by the change team;
  • coordinating with the business, production lines, Product Owners, program managers, and other stakeholders;
  • analyzing performance, trends, and differences between production lines and translating these into concrete opportunities for improvement;
  • facilitating improvements that fall outside the scope of regular change processes;
  • supporting implementations and ensuring that new work methods are properly embedded;
  • advising management and serving as the initiative owner’s designated representative to management teams and other decision-making bodies.

This is what you bring

You are a capable project manager who can easily switch between strategic, tactical, and operational levels. You know how to reconcile diverse interests and maintain a clear overview, even when multiple projects are underway at the same time.

In addition, you possess:

  • a completed associate's or bachelor's degree;
  • extensive experience as a project leader or program manager within a complex organization;
  • experience with supply chain management and organization-wide change initiatives;
  • demonstrable experience with stakeholder management at various organizational levels;
  • analytical skills and experience with process and performance analyses;
  • excellent communication skills and the ability to persuade;
  • Experience in a technical, infrastructure, or utility environment is a strong plus.

What makes this position interesting?

You’ll take on a role with significant impact. While you won’t be responsible for day-to-day operations, you’ll ensure that the entire organization works together to make progress toward structural improvement. In doing so, you’ll collaborate closely with initiative owners, program managers, Product Owners, consultants, business representatives, and management.

You are the connecting link that ensures improvements don’t get stuck between Run and Change, but are actually implemented and embedded within the organization.

Good to know

The Asset Registration Project Manager is explicitly not an operational role. You do not write work instructions, develop solutions, or take over tasks from consultants or change teams. You focus on ensuring coherence, progress, decision-making, and the implementation of improvements throughout the entire chain.
