Role description and task arrangements

Information security officer (ISO)

wanted You are a connecting and communicative professional with a passion for information security. You work independently, are hands-on, and switch effortlessly between strategy and implementation. You work with colleagues from different disciplines to develop future-proof solutions. As ISO within ArtEZ University of the Arts, you contribute to the strategic information security policy. In this role, you are a key figure in risk management. You are also a strong sparring partner for the Data Protection Officer (DPO), the head of ICT, and the privacy officer.
 

Job requirements

· Drafting policy documents, frameworks, and guidelines for information security.

· Keeping up to date with developments in the field.

· Performing risk analyses, data classifications, and testing systems

· Raising awareness through education and training.

· Providing support during internal and external audits.

· Drawing up annual plans in collaboration with colleagues from privacy and ICT.

· Advising directors and departments on information security.

 

You bring

· Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in IT, cybersecurity, business administration, or similar.

· At least 5 years of experience as an ISO.

· Good knowledge of risk management.

· Understanding of infrastructure, Cloud, AI risks, IAM, Zero Trust.

· Experience with setting up and managing Trustbound GRC software.

· Experience with audits and risk assessments.

· Ability to link information security to business objectives.

· Experience advising management and/or the board on risks.

· Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and persuasiveness.

· Knowledge of the NBA assessment framework for information security

· Knowledge of NIS2 assessment framework for information security

· Experience with information security within higher professional education. Specifically within art colleges.

· Technical ICT knowledge or expertise, enabling you to understand complex security issues and translate them into practical solutions.
