Role description and task arrangements
Who we are.
You will be part of the Physical Domain team: 50 colleagues, who deal daily with the physical environment. Physical domain consists of various components, such as Supervision and Enforcement, Housing and Housing, Spatial Planning, Permits, Recreation & Tourism, Real Estate, Economic Affairs and Land Affairs. We work intensively together with citizens, businesses, other governments and various interest groups. We find it important to respond to initiatives that match our municipal ambitions.
What will you do?
As a construction and housing supervisor, you play an important role in supervising construction activities. You will perform inspections in response to issued environmental permits, but also detect illegally built structures. In case of possible abuses, you take appropriate measures to ensure that the building meets the set requirements. If necessary, you take care of the legal preparation and check the penalty and administrative order notices and supervise the actual execution of an administrative order. You ensure proper and correct administration of both your findings and actions. You handle reports and complaints and contribute to the handling of enforcement requests.
What do we ask of you?
You have an HBO degree in architecture or similar. You are aware of laws and regulations, work independently and have a considered approach. You communicate well and clearly, both orally and in writing. You have empathy, but stay on your own course towards the desired result. You are consultative and clear in your communication.
