As a youth counselor, you will take requests from the resident regarding youth assistance questions.
You start a conversation and examine the request for help from a broad perspective. You examine what can be solved with your own strengths and/or in other areas and what still requires a decision. You write a plan and direct it where necessary. You are able to work with multi-problem situations in which safety is a regular issue. You work together in a network within and outside the municipality in order to organize the right care.
What will you do?
- Conducting interviews with youth and parents to identify needs for help.
- Analyzing situations and determining what support is appropriate.
- Creating support plans.
- Collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, general practitioners and other chain partners.
- Monitoring progress and adjusting trajectories as needed.
- Carefully record files and applications according to laws and regulations.
What do you bring?
- A completed college education, for example, Social Work, Pedagogy or similar.
- Knowledge of the Youth Act and relevant laws and regulations.
- Experience working with families and youth with complex issues.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- A solution-oriented and empathetic work ethic.
- In possession of an SKJ registration
