Role description and task arrangements

Hello interim Kotlin Developer! Do you want to work in the heart of the energy transition?
32 - 40 hours | Amersfoort / Hybrid | Energy Market | February 3 | NOTE: ONLY DETACHING

Working on the energy transition at EDSN
At EDSN you contribute to making the Netherlands more sustainable. Every day. Together with our partners in the energy sector. With your digital skills and power to connect, you are the indispensable link between technology and energy. You will help build the reliable and innovative ICT infrastructure needed to facilitate a sustainable market. Today and tomorrow! We have big ambitions and that is why we are looking for you!

Assignment
At EDSN (team Pact) you will work as a Kotlin DevOps developer in a backend team. The team works on applications that facilitate the recording of activities that take place in the energy market.

This is what you will be doing:
- Existing functionalities from the legacy C-AR (Central Connections Register, you will not be working on this yourself), a SOAP-based application, will be modernized and migrated to a microservices architecture (REST/Kafka).
- You will thus be involved in building feature microservices (SOAP APIs), which coordinate the business process, and underlying domain microservices (REST CRUD registers). At the moment the team has 4 microservices under management and this will grow with your help.
- You will be actively working daily with Kotlin, Spring Boot, Cucumber, REST (and some simple SOAP), Docker, Gitlab, SCRUM and Jira. Additionally, in varying level-depth, you will interact with Kafka, Grafana, Argo, Openshift, Gitlab pipelines.

Required technical knowledge
- Kotlin (or Java experience and a passion to learn Kotlin)
- Spring Boot
- SQL/NoSQL
- REST SOAP (very minimal knowledge required)
Experience with CI/CD Scrum Nice to have: Cucumber Docker Event Driven Architecture (Kafka)
