Role description and task arrangements

Budget management assistant for 24 hours a week in Kampen

We have a temporary need for a budget management employee to support our residents due to the departure of an employee. You will work for residents in the municipality of Kampen, but will also work at the Deventer location.

Your work
You manage the income of households who are unable to do so themselves (temporarily or long-term). You help households get out of financial problems and prevent clients from falling back into their old ways. Your support is aimed at developing the client's financial self-sufficiency.
The work includes:
  • Creating a budget plan in consultation
  • Recording the client's data in the computerized system
  • Taking care of the payment of living expenses, fixed expenses, reservations and variable expenses on behalf of the client
  • Having conversations with the client about day-to-day financial problems, as well as opportunities to regain independent income management over time
  • Preparing the client to return to independent financial management
  • Provide information on existing tangible and intangible facilities and, if necessary, refer to specialized (assistance) institutions
About you
  • You have a minimum of 3 years working experience as a budget administrator within a government organization;
  • You have a completed college degree in SJD, MWD or related field;
  • You have system knowledge of Allegro or similar client budget management system;
  • You have insight and understanding of the specific problems of our target group, but in doing so you do not lose sight of the interests of creditors and suppliers and the legal frameworks;
  • You are a team player who is able to work independently within your own caseload and monitor your workload;
  • You are a fun colleague with a sense of humor;
  • You actively keep abreast of current developments in our field and contribute from your knowledge and experience to continuously improve the quality of our services
The team
The BAD is the professional organization for professional, independent and objective budget information, help in preventing, structurally solving and managing money problems and social credit in Deventer. The BAD employs about 50 people in different function groups (stabilization & debt settlement, early signaling & prevention, budget management, administration, WSNP-possession, Kredietbank) and in a number of projects such as support for victims of the benefits affair.
