Your work
In this position, you will analyze and evaluate project requests from the information management consultants and determine whether they are complete and technically feasible. And whether they are in line with the key project factors. Together with a team of experts, such as the solution architect, information security officer and IT administrators, you will map out the technical requirements and required resources. You immediately recognize bottlenecks and advise the information management consultant on possible adjustments for an even more effective implementation. Subsequently, you draw up offers for the DOWR municipalities, in which you make a clear estimate of the required hours and costs. And you advise management on the feasibility and implementation of projects. 

You monitor capacity and costs within IT projects and keep a close eye on progress. With your overview, you ensure that the available resources and time are always in balance with the project goals. With project portfolio management and change management, you coordinate planning and progress to ensure timely realizations.

About you
As a delivery manager, you combine strong project management and analytical skills with excellent communication and connectivity skills. You work in a customer-oriented and organization-sensitive manner with multifunctional teams. Flexibility and stress-resistance come naturally to you, as do technical knowledge and an understanding of IT processes. With persuasiveness and problem-solving skills, you ensure that projects are carried out efficiently and realistically. 

Your Experience
You possess:  

• HBO working and thinking level 

• You have at least 8 years of experience within IT  

• You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, for example as an IT project manager, delivery manager or technical IT consultant, where you were responsible for the execution and delivery of projects  

• Knowledge of project management, methodologies and standards 

• Experience working in a complex IT environment, preferably a municipality
