Role description and task arrangements


Are you keen on ecological frameworks and do you know how to safeguard nature interests within spatial plans and permits? In this role the emphasis is on testing ecological studies and assessing initiatives against laws and regulations. Do you enjoy working with permit issuers and policy staff to protect natural values? Then we would like to meet you!

What will you do?

  • You review ecological quickscans, nature assessments and nitrogen calculations for content and legal tenability.
  • You will review applications for environmental permits, plan amendments and spatial projects against applicable ecological laws and regulations (such as the Nature Conservation Act and Natura 2000).
  • You monitor ecological quality and ensure that nature interests are properly considered in decision-making.
  • You provide reviewing input for integrated considerations within the physical environment, where nature, health and spatial quality come together.
  • You will work closely with permit issuers, RO staff and municipal project managers.
What do you bring?
  • A completed college or university degree in ecology, wildlife management or a similar field.
  • Thorough knowledge of protected species, Natura 2000, nitrogen issues and ecological networks.
  • Experience in reviewing ecological studies within environmental law (Wabo, Nature Protection Act) and preferably knowledge of the Environment Act, Bal and Bkl.
  • You can clearly and legally articulate ecological test results.
  • You are analytical, accurate and have an eye for detail as well as context.
  • Would you like to use your ecological expertise to contribute to careful decision-making and the protection of natural values in a changing spatial context? Then we cordially invite you to respond.
