Company description:

Airbus is the largest aeronautics and space company in Europe, providing products, services and solutions for the commercial aircraft, helicopter, defence and space sectors. In The Netherlands, Airbus has multiple production and office sites, with over 250 FTE of staff combined. Although the majority of these employees focus on delivery of hardware to the space industry (e.g. satellite solar arrays and launcher structures), Airbus Netherlands operates as a cross-divisional entity and supports to strengthen the connection between Dutch players and the various Airbus divisions.

In April 2024, Airbus opened the Airbus Tech Hub in the Netherlands, a platform to catalyse breakthroughs in aerospace research, technology and innovation with the local ecosystem. The Airbus Tech Hub NL connects the global Airbus Research & Technology (R&T) needs with the excellence and the ambitions in the Netherlands and aims to grow the Dutch contribution to the future success of Airbus: more Airbus in NL, more NL in Airbus.

Today, eight enthusiastic innovators form the Tech Hub team at Airbus NL, focusing on the following themes: Future Energy Technologies, Cabin of the Future, Aircraft Operations, Composites and Industrialised systems, Connectivity, Quantum and MRO. Since the launch of the hub, the team has already established a significant portfolio of R&T projects.

About the role

For the Tech Hub NL team, Airbus is looking for a Project Manager who will contribute from a Dutch perspective to accelerating the transition towards decarbonization of the aviation sector.

In this role, you will support and help shape national and international strategic initiatives and roadmaps, such as Flying Vision Accelerator, and SAF-related roadmaps. You will work closely with industry partners, knowledge institutes and government, translating insights from technology, market and policy developments into concrete actions, roadmaps and communication outputs.

You will be part of the Tech Hub NL team, contributing to long-term vision development, multi-stakeholder collaboration and innovation programs that support the decarbonisation of aviation with the Dutch ecosystem. Your role & responsibilities

As Project Manager, you will:

  • Support the coordination and execution of strategic programs and roadmapping activities related to sustainable aviation and the energy transition

  • Support the development, structuring and maintenance of visions and roadmaps for policymakers.
  • Prepare and support interactive workshops, think tanks and deep dives, using methods such as design thinking, agile and scrum
  • Contribute to stakeholder management, aligning interests of industry partners, knowledge institutes and governmental bodies
  • Support communication and positioning of outcomes, including presentations, publications and input for external communication
  • Contribute to the consolidation of multiple insights and perspectives into coherent and well-supported strategic outputs

Your profile

You are structured, curious and proactive, and enjoy working in complex environments where technology, policy and collaboration come together.

You bring:

  • Excellent communication skills, including an interest in storytelling, marketing and communication approach
  • Preferably Dutch-speaking
