Role description and task arrangements
Integral debt relief worker 32-36 hours per week for Kampen and Deventer/Olst-Wijhe (2 x)
We temporarily need additional capacity of integral debt relief workers to support our residents. You will work for both Kampen and Deventer/Olst-Wijhe residents, with one employee having Kampen as main location and the other Deventer as base. You will be flexibly deployable.
Your work
You support people who have financial worries (and often problematic debts) and cannot find a solution to them on their own. By solving or managing debt problems you give them the opportunity to participate again. You have your own caseload and you conduct intake and counseling interviews in which you examine solutions and offer support together with the client. Together you map out the current situation and make a concrete plan of action in which you describe how you will work towards the desired (financial) situation. You work from the principle of stress-sensitive service provision.
If there are debts, you bring these into focus, look for the causes and make a plan to prevent recurrence. You provide information and advice on financial facilities that can help your client. For other problems you guide the client to specialized institutions. If necessary, you handle a crisis situation.
You advise on the matching of income and expenses, take preventive measures to prevent relapse and help the client to keep agreements made. You supervise clients during the Msnp or WSNP process and, if necessary, implement a moratorium or compulsory settlement.
About you
The BAD is the professional organization for professional, independent and objective budget information, help in preventing, structurally solving and managing money problems and social credit in Deventer. The BAD employs about 60 people in different function groups (prevention & early signaling, stabilization & debt settlement, budget management, administration, WSNP-possession, Kredietbank and support to victims of the benefits affair).

About you
- You have at least 3 years of work experience within debt counseling;
- You have at least HBO working and thinking level, demonstrable by your education (HBO-MWD, HBO-SJD, HBO Social Work);
- You are familiar with the NVVK debt settlement code of conduct, relevant legislation and the social security system;
- You have system knowledge of Allegro;
- You have an eye for the specific problems of our clients, but know how to combine them with a businesslike attitude;
- You dare to take decisions and initiatives independently and have excellent oral and written communication skills and can report in an orderly manner;
- You are a team player who is able to work independently within your own caseload and monitor your workload;
- You are a fun colleague with a sense of humor;
- You actively keep abreast of current developments in our field and contribute from your knowledge and experience to continuously improve the quality of our services
