Role description and task arrangements

Construction process manager Sports Center Borne-West

The Sports Center Borne-West project concerns the construction of a multifunctional sports center on sports park 't Wooldrik. The goal is to realize a sports center that is both functional, sustainable and cost-effective, and that is accessible to all residents of Borne for exercise and sports.

The design team has recently been working intensively on the technical design of the sports center, which includes a competition hall, a multifunctional sports hall (also suitable for movement education), a hall for dance and martial arts, an indoor beach hall, a physiotherapy practice, a strength room, sports catering, offices and a site layout with beach fields. The tendering process is now in its final stages and construction work will begin in the first quarter of 2025.

For the construction phase of the sports center we are looking for an experienced construction process manager. This project has to deal with various stakeholders, including Borne Sport, future users of the sports center, other users of sports park 't Wooldrik, nearby businesses, local residents and more. Each group has specific interests and wishes. You play a key role in balancing these interests and translating them into the project so that it can be successfully realized.

Work
As construction process manager, you are the essential link between the municipality, construction management and the various stakeholders. With your expertise and communication skills, you ensure that the construction process runs efficiently, stays within budget and is carried out on schedule. You represent the interests of all stakeholders and actively involve all parties in the process. Together you work on a sports complex that everyone can be proud of.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Function as a point of contact and liaison between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Chairing and reporting on user meetings.
  • Supervise purchasing for sports technical and hospitality equipment, among others.
  • Aligning wishes and requirements between all parties involved.
  • Coordinate and monitor schedule, quality and budget.

Job requirements
We are looking for an enthusiastic, results-oriented team player with extensive experience in similar projects and a connecting approach. You can switch smoothly between the interests of the client and other stakeholders.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a construction process manager.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the (re)construction of social real estate.
  • Extensive experience working for a political administrative organization.
  • At least 10 years of stakeholder management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, real estate development, urban renewal or similar.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Initiative, social and inspirational with a hands-on mentality.
