Are you creative, digitally savvy, and ready to grow your communications career? Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar (ZHB) is looking for a Junior Communications Advisor who wants to contribute to smart and sustainable mobility in our province. In this role, you will support internal and external communication about projects that have a real impact on the accessibility and livability of South Holland. You enjoy writing, organizing, and collaborating, and you know exactly how to reach people through social media and online content. You will work closely with mid-level and senior communications advisors, giving you plenty of opportunity to learn, develop, and put your creative ideas into practice.

Who is ZHB?
Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar is a collaboration of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Department of Public Works, the Province of South Holland, the municipality of The Hague, the municipality of Rotterdam, Metropolitan Region of The Hague Rotterdam (MRDH), the Port of Rotterdam Authority and ProRail.

Our main task is to improve accessibility in South Holland. To achieve this, we and our partners ensure that disruption during works is limited and we contribute to the sustainable mobility transition. We have about 100 people working at ZHB. That's a permanent base of about 30 employees and about 70 people in a flexible shell. The communications team consists of 6 - 7 consultants.

What will you do?
As a Junior Communications Advisor, you will support the implementation of our communications surrounding mobility projects and area-based approaches.
You will help develop creative communication tools, keep our online channels up to date, and provide support for meetings and campaigns. You will work in an enthusiastic communications team with colleagues who help and inspire each other and work together toward a single goal: to show what Zuid-Holland Bereikbaar does and why it is important.



Duties and responsibilities
  • Contribute to the preparation and implementation of communication plans for projects and areas.
  • Supporting internal and external communication regarding activities and mobility initiatives.
  • Writing, editing, and posting accessible texts for the website, newsletters, and social media channels.
  • Gathering information from the organization and translating it into clear, appealing content.
  • Contributing ideas for creative formats and campaigns to raise awareness of ZHB's stories.
  • Assist in organizing meetings, campaigns, and public actions.
  • Working with designers, communication partners, and external agencies.
  • Contributing to a consistent and recognizable communication image for ZHB.

Minimum job requirements
  • A completed higher professional education degree in communication.
  • At least 1 year of work experience as a communications advisor.
  • Experience developing and analyzing content for different channels and audiences.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Skill with CMS systems and online communication tools.

Good to know
  • 32 hours, negotiable schedule.
  • Hired for minimum period of one year; 2x extension possible.
